Welcome to the December edition of the best year yet. And after nearly 22 months of avoiding the dreaded lurgy… I am typing to you now from isolation.

Started the month off great though! My team had an away day in Liverpool, and it was super fun! A full day of strategising on Wednesday, and then a full day of port touring the next day.

But what has come after has been a bit rubbish. Well, not straight away. Saturday and Sunday were awesome. I went ice skating with my friend Aamie, had a dip in the pool with my friend Sarah and then decorated a Christmas tree and said hi to some awesome horses, feeling perfectly fine!

Monday morning though, I started to feel a little bit icky. Wednesday, I thought I should do a test just in case, praying it was just a bad cold… No such luck.

What can I say about how I’ve been feeling. Well, I’m lucky it hasn’t been worse. It’s felt like a horrendous cold. I’ve had a blocked nose, a cough, the sniffles, sporadic hot and cold sweats, and then the worst bit, the loss of smell and taste. My voice has gone lower, as it always does when I have a cold, but then it went completely.

But the biggest symptom I’ve had is exhaustion. Although I’ve been well enough to work and feeling bright and bubbly in myself, it all suddenly hits me when I log off, and I‘ve ended up having a 2 hour nap after work most days this week.

But I’m staying positive, and not just because my test is positive. Isolation started in December 8th; Isolation ends on December 18th, which means I’ll still be able to spend Christmas with the fam, as long as no one else tests positive. And I’m just praying my taste comes back before Christmas dinner, because I NEED to taste Christmas dinner.

PHYSICAL HEALTH: DECEMBER EDITION

So my isolation, I obviously won’t be able to do much, but as I’m off from the 22nd December, I’m planning to do OODLES of walks around Christmas. I want to finally do the walk over to the Thames Barrier, maybe do a couple of the London Loop walks, as well as some walks in Bath. Essentially once I’m out, I want to be able to walk over 1,000 steps, seeing as I havent really been able to since Wednesday (8 Dec!). Yay for walking!

MENTAL HEALTH: DECEMBER EDITION

Being inside for a few days, with very opportunity to go outside (I went outside once to put up our Christmas lights) the in only thing I can do really is watch films!

So, same as September‘s, I’ll be screencapping what films I’ve watched in December. Nice and simple really, and keeps me happy because we’re watching films!
