The first film you ever saw...
So I asked my parents this morning whether they remembered which film I watched at the cinema first... and they both came back with that they didn't know, so this is a tricky one.
I can imagine it was something animated, like Toy Story or A Bug's Life... but I'm going to go with the film I remember most...
And that was Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
Episode I came out in July 1999, so I would have been about 8 I think... and I remember seeing it with my aunt who lives up in Glasgow. She'd obviously seen the originals and said we would absolutely love it... and we most definitely did.
From there I got the 'behind the scenes' movie books for Christmas, a Filofax with Star Wars facts, multiple R2-D2 cuddly toys or action figures, a piece of art and 22.5 hours of stunning sequences that still blow me away.
Everyone says Phantom Menace is the worst one, but I've always said, yeah okay fine it may be, but if it can get kids like me and Josie into one of the greatest franchises of all time, then I think it did something right.
So I'd like to thank George Lucas, Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor and R2-D2 for an incredible piece of cinema that started a life-long love of Star Wars.
And even though I really don't like Darth Maul... this moment was quite iconic.
