A film you watched over and over as a child...
Having just asked my sister this very question, without giving her any kind of steer, we both came up with...
THE LION KING
Disney released it in 1994 and I remember having the VHS tape, which would be terrible copy if you watched it now, and I just loved the songs. The opener, Be Prepared, I Just Can't Wait To Be King...
And who knew the soundtrack would be the basis of my love of the genius that is Hans Zimmer.
I can't remember whether I found it emotional as a child, given the death of Mufasa and how a tiny lion cub is forced out on his own, but I do know that when I watch it now, the emotions hit even harder.
If you read my earlier post you will notice I mention my frustrations at how I feel about the remake, but this one will always be a classic for me... and the words to all the songs have been emblazoned in my memory, never to be forgotten.
Aaaaa... wimboweh a wimboweh a wimboweh... ALL TOGETHER NOW!
