A film you would love to see on the big screen...
I mentioned on my music post last week (my car one) that I love cars... and some of the films that are ridiculous but are my favourites are the Fast and Furious films. Cars going fast galore!
The first one - The Fast and the Furious - came out when I was 10... in 2001, which meant I wasn't really old enough to watch the original legendary driving character that is Dominic Toretto until later on in my film-watching career. I think the first Fast film I watched in the cinema was Fast Five, which I will always say in the best one. And I think they're much better on the big screen compared to on the small screen. They're exciting, yes, but the car noises and explosions and stunts just aren't the same.
Now I have the Blu-Rays, which means it's at least in high definition, but it would have been really cool to see The Fast and the Furious on the big screen.
2 Fast 2 Furious - the second one, starring Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson (who makes a re-appearance in Fast Five - I'm not really bothered about, given it's probably the worst one of the series, but hell, seeing all the ones I've missed in the cinemas of the Fast films would be epic.
Plus a chance to see the talented Paul Walker again. I was really sad when he died. He was so young, and was so passionate about so many important causes, and the series isn't the same without him. He's missed by all today, not just his cast-mates.
But I am very glad they gave him the beautiful send off he deserved, and that they have continued making the films, because despite getting more and more ridiculous (there are rumours Fast 10 will be set in space... :s) I still think they're very good! (Yes, there is going to be a Fast 10!)
But yeah, The Fast and the Furious is the one I would have wanted to see in the cinema.
Ooooh. Or Pearl Harbor! That film is very good too. Okay shush now Rachel. Move on.
