Today's theme is OUTSIDE. And what a topic for the times, eh?

In these last 6 weeks, where we've been told to stay inside by government, it has been harder than ever to remain indoors. And it's strange. If we weren't in lockdown, I would not have any trouble remaining inside watching TV, sleeping or reading a book. Now... NOOOOO, LET ME OUT, LET ME OUT!!
Josie and I have tried to be good in doing our exercise around the house and in the local area. We haven't travelled further than Asda (other than to stretch the car's legs) and we've distancing from family, which has been really difficult. But it's a sacrifice we've all had to make. And I'll gladly keep doing it if it means more of us stay safe and virus free!
For our allotted time outside, we walk around the island, as we are lucky enough to live on the Thames Path, and given we've had such fantastic weather, we've been able to do it most days. We run every other day - Couch to 5K is kicking my butt at the moment - and we do Joe Wicks every day if we can (and we catch up if we can't) so we do keep active... But I do still miss the wide open spaces.
I miss being able to travel to Scotland or the Lakes, to walk in the greenery and the fresh air. But this greenery is going to have to do for now.

But do go outside. Even if just for a walk around the block. And do it after work. Those twenty minutes, or however long it is, are so good for clearing away the cobwebs and helping you switch off after a long day, as you can come back in and you know you're into ME time. Which is the best time.
